Wire Mesh Calculation

Aperture of plain and twilled weave determined by mesh count and wire diameter. Open area, like aperture size, is determined by wire diameter and mesh count. Mesh count depends on number of wires or number of apertures per linear inch, 25.4mm.

The same mesh count but different aperture size and open area by having different wire diameter.
